System Design
Underwater Acoustic Monitoring Systems can easily become prohibitively expensive. StSS will help the client determine the most cost-effective design for their program objectives. Having designed, installed, and maintained these systems along the BC coast StSS is aware of what and cannot be reasonably accomplished. With the system designs StSS will provide costs estimates for the recommended solution.

Installations
StSS has installed many systems and developed installation methods and equipment to promote rapid, robust, and cost-effective installations. For example, our ROV recovery methods reduce liability and costs (versus the use of divers). Provides video documentation of the site and installation. StSS is equipped with all the necessary equipment to perform an installation except for a boat and operator. Alternatively, StSS can provide training and/or supervision of the client’s personnel to do the installation.

Maintenance
StSS can support the client’s maintenance program for systems StSS has supplied or installed. This includes services such as assessing client data for hydrophone failures, ROV services for visual surveys of mooring sites, mooring recovery, proper redeployment of the system after service. Troubleshooting advice can be provided as needed.

Underwater Cable Splicing
StSS provides high-reliability underwater cable splicing and cable assemblies. StSS can source cables and connectors on the client’s behalf as needed.

Vessel noise acoustic analysis
For custom or one of acoustic data analysis StSS can provide manual assessments and reports. StSS can also recommend third-party software for automated acoustic noise analysis when the client’s objectives are better suited to automated analysis.
